<body><div id="article"><tr><td height="28" valign="middle" width="184"></td><td valign="middle" width="185"></td></tr><h1>First International Youth Parliament 2007 Calls For Nuclear Fusion</h1><p>May 11 (EIRNS)--On May 1-3, 54 youth from Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, and Italy convened in Graz, capital of the Austrian region of Steiermark, for the 1st International Youth Parliament 2007. At the end of the sessions, they passed a resolution which contains the following passage on energy:</p><p>"Aware of the fact that fossil resources are running low and that energy safety is very important on a European level, subsequently Europe needs clear guidelines for the future.</p><p>We urge the EU to support the research on all kinds of renewable energy, especially focusing on nuclear fusion..."</p><p>The resolution will be sent as a petition to the European Parliament in Strasbourg.</p></div></body>
